The Four-night Option option gives you a little more time to explore. It builds on the Cairo highlights. It may also include a taste of Egypt’s other treasures. This could include ancient sites just outside Cairo. This is a wonderful choice if you want depth without a long commitment.
The 8-Night Classic Egypt Journey
This is our most complete journey. It takes you far beyond Cairo. It brings you to Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. It brings you aboard a luxury Nile cruise ship. It brings you to Abu Simbel, Luxor, and Aswan. This is the full story of ancient Egypt, told across the whole country.

Day by Day: The 8-Night Classic Egypt Journey
Day 1 — Arrival in Cairo
You arrive at Cairo airport. Our expediter meets you right away. You are driven to your hotel in comfort. In the evening, we take you to see the Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids. The pyramids glow under colored lights. A voice tells the story of the pharaohs. Afterward, you return to your hotel for a restful night.
Day 2 — Cairo Sightseeing
After a relaxing breakfast, your private guide takes you to the Giza Plateau. Here stand the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. You will also see the Sphinx. Later, you visit the Egyptian Museum. This museum holds over 120,000 ancient treasures. You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then you return to your hotel for the evening.
Day 3 — Alexandria and the Overnight Train
Today you travel to the coastal city of Alexandria. You visit Pompey’s Pillar, an ancient Roman monument. You explore the Catacombs, a vast underground cemetery. You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You visit the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a stunning library by the sea. In the evening, you board a comfortable sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast are served right in your cabin.
Day 4 — Nile Cruise Begins in Aswan
You arrive in Aswan by train. Our team meets you at the station. They take you straight to your Nile cruise ship. You enjoy lunch on board. Then you visit the famous High Dam. Later, you take a peaceful felucca sailboat ride around Kitchener’s Island. You return to the ship for dinner and a restful night.
Day 5 — Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo
Early in the morning, you travel by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to Abu Simbel. Here you see two magnificent temples. One honors Ramses II. The other honors Queen Nefertari. Afterward, you return to your ship. The ship sails to Kom Ombo. There, you visit a unique double temple. Lunch is served on board. You sail on toward Edfu as you eat.
Day 6 — Edfu and Luxor's East Bank
After breakfast on board, you visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This is one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. You have lunch on board. The ship continues sailing toward Luxor. In the afternoon, you visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. These temples hold the largest columned hall in ancient history. You return to your ship for the night.
Day 7 — Luxor's West Bank, Then Fly to Cairo
This morning, you explore the Valley of the Kings. This is the resting place of over 60 pharaohs. You also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. You see the Colossi of Memnon before lunch. In the afternoon, we transfer you to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. Our team meets you again on arrival. They take you to your Cairo hotel.
Day 8 — Sakkara and Memphis
After breakfast, your guide takes you to Sakkara. Here you see the Step Pyramid, the oldest large stone structure in the world. You then visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then you return to your hotel.
Day 9 — Final Departure
After a relaxing breakfast, you have some free time. Then we transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your flight home. Your journey ends the same way it began. That is, with care and comfort.

Pricing for the 8-Night Journey
Our 8-night package is priced per person, based on a shared double room in a 4-star hotel
- Two travelers: $1965 USD per person
- Four travelers: $1800 USD per person
- Six travelers: $1705 USD per person
If you prefer a triple room, there is a small reduction of $14 USD per person. If you prefer to travel alone, a single supplement of $ 415 USD applies.
